This is the
penultimate report from the Dushkaal Hatawu : Manoos Jagawu communication desk.
Tomorrow the Padayatra will come to a close at around noon at Sewagram. The
last day is a 8 km walk for the band of Padayatris who have made an arduous
journey of over 900 km from Kasari tanda in Beed.
On the 24th
the main Padayatra band was joined by a smaller Padayatra that covered 124 km
across the tribal dominated Schedule V area of Yavatmal district. This smaller
Padayatra was organized by the Nisarg Mitra group which is working on tribal
issues in these came villages. The joining of the 2 Yatras has infused fresh
vigour and life into the tired but high-spirited band of walkers.
Tomorrow afternoon
will be spent in debriefing the Padayatra and Assessment teams. On the 1st
of March is an internal meeting of the Dushkaal Hatawu : Manoos Jagawu group.
We wish to close this
brief report with the appeal we also made on the 25th of February..
