Dear Friends, Greetings! We all have started realizing that nature of the social development sector is changing drastically. And it is obvious too as any live thing changes… after all change is evidence of life. The question is ‘how do we accept such changes?’ Are we even prepared to control change? All
of us are used to a particular style in running our organizations. We have a
set approach and mental set to look at future of our organizations. Is that
enough? Are we serving the purpose with which we started? Should we not change
the way we think, the way we work? In the changing scenario, we need to be more
disciplined, accountable and effective. These are the
values and principles that will ultimately help us on our way.
Else we will find that our funding options are also limited.
This
is because the traditional trend of raising funds from foreign or even Indian
funding agencies is changing day by day. Foundations of industries, big companies
seem to be taking the charge. Concepts like ‘corporate social responsibility’ are the
norm. They are getting into, what was exclusively the territory of NGOs. This sector will also provide more
opportunities in future. Do
we wait for these opportunities to come to us and knock at our door? That is of
little use. We need to make changes in our structure, work systems, work
culture and our nature. In
order to facilitate this change, GreenEarth has designed a training
programme based on new management approach and concepts. These programmes
are for voluntary organizations of new millennium. The contents
of the training are appended to this letter. To
ensure quality in training and satisfaction of all the trainees, the number of
trainees in one batch will be limited to 25. If you are interested in
this training, get back to us as soon as possible. After you enroll your name
along with your expectations, we shall send you the forms and other details.
The training will be sharp, precise and based on the genuine needs of the
social sector. In solidarity,
Anil Shidore Chief Trainer

togetherness…
