Every village has a different story to tell, but the common observations are frightening. The society is completely fractured. The extreme poor are not on the scene anywhere, special efforts are needed to reach them. There is a fatigue of projects: schemes that have failed are to be seen in plenty.
Decadent tendencies prevail: EVIL RULES...
It is a civilisation lost in it's making.
And yet:
DO WE WANT TO LISTEN TO THIS TRUTH? AND RESPOND TO THE HOPE EXPRESSED BY THESE PEOPLE?
OR BE LOST IN A WORLD OF HOPELESSNESS THAT WE OURSELVES HAVE CREATED?
On it's 10th day, the Walk for Meaningful Life Padayatra of the ERADICATE DROUGHT: SAVE HUMANITY campaign continues on its journey. The Walk will pass through 56 villages in 9 districts, covering a total of 900 km, to culminate on 28th Februrary at Gandhiji's Sewagram Aashram in Wardha. The Walk intends to focus the attention of the world on HUNGER and DROUGHT in Maharashtra, initiate a dialogue with the people in drought-hit areas and to find solutions to it.
We invite you to join the Long Walk on any day, participate in this process and to contribute to the "MAHARASHTRA DEVELOPMENT FUND", which will be used for Drought Eradication activities.
LET US PLEDGE TO ERADICATE DROUGHT AND HUNGER.
